Winter in Hocking Hills is a quiet kind of magic. The forest hushes, the stars sharpen, and the air smells cleaner — colder, yes, but clearer too. And tucked into that landscape, the Airstreams at Streams & Dreams at Laurel Run offer a new way to experience the season: glamping that’s as cozy as it is adventurous.
When everyone else is hibernating, you can wake up to the sounds nature under frost, step into your private sauna, and sip coffee wrapped in a blanket on your deck. It’s still, peaceful, and beautifully human-sized — the kind of escape winter was made for.
Most people think glamping is a summer thing — but winter brings a slower, softer rhythm to Hocking Hills. Trails are nearly empty. The wildlife is easier to spot. Campfires burn longer, and the stars appear earlier.
It’s a season of simplicity and connection. There’s no rush, no crowds, just nature doing what it does best: quieting your mind and resetting your senses. You’ll feel it the moment you arrive — a kind of peaceful exhale that city life doesn’t allow.
Each of our six custom 31-foot Airstreams is built for comfort and calm. You’ll find:
A queen bed with luxe linens and electric blankets
A walk-in hot shower
A private barrel sauna just steps away on your Trex deck
An outdoor fire pit and Adirondack chairs for slow evenings under the stars
A fully equipped kitchen and coffee ready to brew on chilly mornings
Our Airstreams are heated and insulated, keeping you toasty even when temperatures dip. That said — and we like to be honest with our guests — on those rare Ohio nights when the temperature drops near zero, you may feel a bit of a chill in the coldest hours. But don’t worry: we’ve got you covered (literally). Between electric blankets, the sauna’s soothing heat, hot coffee, and plenty of ways to snuggle up, we’ll make sure you stay as comfortable as possible.
We’re a small team that truly cares — and we’ll do everything we can to keep your stay warm, cozy, and memorable, whatever the weather brings.
Winter changes the way the forest feels. Trails like Ash Cave, Old Man’s Cave, and Cedar Falls become peaceful and still, sometimes dusted with snow and icicles. The streams glimmer. The waterfalls freeze into glassy sculptures.
If adventure calls, hike a bit. If not, stay close to home:
Sip wine by your fire pit
Steam up your private sauna and step out into the crisp night air
Watch the snow drift from your sun porch
Cook dinner under the stars (your grill and griddle are ready)
And when you’re ready for town, explore local winter wineries, cozy cafés, and charming shops — all within a short drive.
Want to make your winter glamping experience even better? Come midweek.
Sunday through Thursday stays are quieter, more private, and often come with special perks like early check-in or complimentary firewood. You’ll have the trails (and often the sauna) all to yourself — and if you’re working remotely, our strong Wi-Fi means you can answer emails in the morning and hit the trails by afternoon.
It’s the perfect weekday reset: a calm, beautiful pause between work and weekend.
We’ve thought through all the details so you don’t have to:
✅ Heated and insulated Airstreams
✅ Electric blankets & plush bedding
✅ Sauna and fire pit for extra warmth
✅ Coffee, tea, and cocoa stocked for cold mornings
✅ Reliable access roads and plowed paths
✅ Friendly team ready to help if temperatures drop extra low
Our goal is simple — to make your winter stay as cozy and magical as possible.
Winter glamping is beautiful — but it’s real. The air is crisp, the nights are longer, and nature does what nature does. That’s part of the charm.
If you’ve never glamped in winter before, know this: you’re not “roughing it,” but you are connecting with the outdoors in a genuine way. The sauna, the blankets, the fire, the quiet — they all come together to create a kind of warmth that’s more than just temperature.
So if it’s a bit chilly, it’s just a reminder: you’re living a story most people only dream about.
There’s something unforgettable about watching snow fall from the warmth of your Airstream. The stars seem closer. The woods feel deeper. It’s quiet, peaceful, and undeniably romantic.
Come glamp with us this winter — and discover why the coldest season can bring the warmest memories.
